Club Boats

The club has the following boats that are available for members to use for FREE:

• Capri 14.2
• 2 Lasers (with Standard and Radial rigs)
• Sunfish
• Optimists

Members are however responsible for any damage caused and are asked to either fix themselves or report to the Club Boat Maintenance Committee at  This email address is being protected from spambots. The expectation is that most people will end up owning their own small boat, but these boats are ideal for people to join the club and get their feet wet while they find the boat they want. Also ideal for club members who want to sometimes make use of a boat that is of a different design from their own.

The Capri14.2 is great for the family. You can get 3-4 people on board the boat and enjoy a pleasant sail around Galveston Bay. Although not the fastest boat on the block this boat is a little more forgiving than some lighter centerboard boats, will still give good performance and is used for one design racing around the country.

The Capri 14 is located on the corner as you enter the club with the blue cover and the white float on top of the mast. Next to it are the club Lasers with grey and blue covers. Next to the Lasers are the club sunfish on a double stacked trailer.

The club sunfish sails are in the sail locker on the right side of the mausoleum, clearly marked as club boat property on the boom.
